Digital UK Product Portfolio Manager

12 month Fixed Term Contract

We are looking for a Digital UK Product Portfolio Manager to join the team. You will work as part of the Digital Enablement team and with the wider Strategy and Marketing function, and each business unit’s digital champion in order to prepare the wider business to meet its ambitious digital transformation agenda. 

Responsibilities:        

The Digital UK Product Portfolio Manager will introduce and manage cross-CBU/domain digital product management methodologies. As well maximising the off-the-shelf potential of marketplace, internal and partner technology. You will support the combined commercial-technical concept-to-customer process and manage the UK portfolio database, providing commercial and technical status updates to the Strategy team and for UK Management Board reporting.

Your objectives as a newly formed digital enablement team will be to:

  • Rapidly educate customer-focused UK teams on the digital opportunity & speed up customer engagement and funding
  • Streamline, share & accelerate the development of digital solutions across CBUs, domains, industries and countries
  • Provide prioritisation by business value of downstream POC/MVP opportunities
  • Engage the necessary ecosystem of partners to enable rapid development and deployment of solutions
  • Position Thales as a digitally competent partner to our customers

Key Experience and Characteristics:

  • Understand the numerous product and services models in the tech industry, e.g. platform, data, software as a service
  • Be adept at ideation - from concept to customer, bringing new conversations into the CBU’s.
  • Be client focused
  • Act as a scrum master (preferably certified)
  • Be diligent – knowing exactly where POCs are
  • Be rigorous. Acting at speed whilst complying with governance (pragmatically).
  • Be skilled in finding the shortest route to market.
  • Understands when to build or buy and open to all the options available.
  • Have a customer centric mind-set

In line with Thales' Baseline Security requirements, candidates will be asked to provide evidence of identity, eligibility to work in the UK and employment and/or education history for up to three years.
