Middle Office Data Accuracy Analyst - 12 month Fixed Term Contract

The Role:

We have an opportunity for a trainee to join our Middle Office Data Team. As part of the team, you will contribute to the overall strategic objective, which is to drive Quality Assurance across Middle Office Data incorporating many different functions within the overall suite of Middle Office services. Quality Assurance is an exciting concept, with lots of potential to create new approaches to the way we manage our key product (for internal and external consumption):

  • Responsible for the evolution of timely and accurate data delivery to our clients
  • Implementation of agile and digital upstream controls to prevent data errors (where applicable)
  • Effective management and coordination of client queries regarding data deliveries
  • Analysis of portfolio data to understand total valuations and movements day-on-day
  • Monitoring of related Client Key Performance Indicators
  • Driving of improvements to global operational control framework’s operating across variety of Middle Office functions

This is a great opportunity to be involved in a wide scope of work covering a multitude of difference services. The trainee will receive excellent exposure to end-to-end Middle Office activities that feed downstream data reporting. The trainee can hopefully bring a new way of thinking, and through supporting the appropriate data analysis will be provided the opportunity to work with both Operations and IT and (1) promote the initiative internally and bring Operations teams on the journey, (2) contribute to the potential use of new technologies as we evolve our data offering.

Data is an extremely high profile and emerging industry topic, so you will be joining the business at an exciting time. Below are some of the ways you will benefit the department:

  • Data Analysis –perform analysis across large volumes of referential data and summarize patterns & trends in executive level summary format.
  • Process Improvements –provide feedback and offer a different/new way of thinking, adding value by owning and managing tasks/initiatives through to completion.
  • Risk Reduction/Client Service - focus on key initiatives to reduce the overall risk profile of the department whilst improving client satisfaction.
  • Industry Awareness: seek industry-wide intelligence on the topic of Data/ Digitalisation/ AI, such as webinars, and share with colleagues.

Candidate Profile:

The candidate must have an inquisitive and innovative mindset, with strong analytical skills. Excellent communication skills, a highly organised approach to work and ability to use youe own initiative are all essential. Self-motivation is key as well as an ability to work well in a team. You should have some experience in data analysis, and a working knowledge of Excel, Visio and PowerPoint.
