About the Science Group

The Science Group is the largest business line  of Clarivate and is undergoing an exciting and pivotal transformation from a portfolio of separate products to a set of integrated value peopositions and providing cutting edge workflow and data & analytics solutions to the entire research community and the wider Life Sciences industry. Main Purpose of the Role:

Working as part of the Clarivate Science Group this position is primarily focused on consulting services within our specialist global health policy team. You will work closely with the Head of Health Policy to develop and implement the consulting team plan; creating an environment that supports our clients and enables patients, the global healthcare systems to navigate the everchanging global health policy landscape

Utilising your astute  health policy, and business understanding, coupled with excellent communications skills, you will analyse the global health policy climate, create opportunities and generate impactful messages and campaigns to advance Clarivate's policy objectives and corporate reputation.

Key responsibilities:

  • Cultivate strong relationships with government health bodies e.g. as in departments of health, regulators, academic institutions and government arms length bodies  Maintain relationships with key contacts through thoughtful, strategic engagement and consulting service solutions
  • Work extensively, to deliver client solutions in the health policy global market
  • To support and align with the health policy team in delivery of high quality client solutions and maximize opportunities provided by these channels for Clarivate’s assets.
  • Drive good communications practice . Provide counsel and support to our clients in how to utilize and execute our delivery solutions to help achieve their goals.
  • Work to anticipate, identify, plan and mitigate for issues which could represent a business risk and/or opportunity. As opportunities and issues arise, develop mitigation plans in support of the Head of Policy’s direction.
  • Finance/Administrative: Ensure proper adherence to all financial and administrative policies.
  • Ensure programs fall within budget parameters and all paperwork is completed in appropriate manner (invoice logging, purchase orders, statements of work, etc.).

Knowledge, Skills, and Qualifications:

  • More than 5-7 years of experience in Health Policy with a deep understanding of how to use external communications and quality consulting services to enhance reputation. Experience in healthcare or scientific consulting and policy are preferred.
  • Strong contacts and working relationships with a variety of top tier health government stakeholders, regulators, academic institutions and the life science industry
  • Able to achieve results while dealing with ambiguity and a rapid pace of change.
  • Demonstrated ability to use communications to drive results.
  • Experience with science storytelling and successfully communicating complex scientific topics in understandable language.
  • Experienced user and creator of social media to drive awareness and engagement
  • Experience with life science consulting preferred.

Technical Competencies

  • A strong understanding of Global Health Policy and understanding of implication to the commercial environment
  • Strong writing skills and has ability to write health policy briefing documents with the ability to organize, summarize, clarify and communicate ideas simply, succinctly and accurately.
  • Ability to draft proposals in PowerPoint for  Health Policy proposals
  • Experienced user and creator of social media to drive awareness and engagement
