We are looking for an experienced Commercial Insurance Broker. You will be responsible for generating new business as well as looking after our existing Professional Indemnity customers, generating profitable sales through exceptional service. Developing and delivering clear plans that create continuous improvement in broking strategy and performance. You will also be an ambassador for Brightside and drive improvements. Demonstrate legal and regulatory competence through all activities.

  • Generate appropriate and profitable sales by providing best practice advice and exceptional service to all Professional Indemnity customers.
  • Demonstrate a thorough understanding of our products and procedures with particular focus on Professional Indemnity, ensuring our customers are given accurate information at every opportunity
  • As a colleague expert in Professional Indemnity you will take the lead and support the product and placement strategy for Professional indemnity insurance within the SME business
  • Identify appropriate opportunities to offer additional products and services to customers
  • Consistently achieve targets in line with key performance indicators, call monitoring standards and quality and compliance (as and where appropriate)
  • Ensure our customer’s needs are identified and fulfilled appropriately
  • Proactively look for opportunities to ensure resources are used efficiently and effectively and meet changing circumstances
  • Comply with all relevant legislative and legal requirements, including industry regulations, employment law, data protection and health and safety
  • Organise own workload to ensure that targets are met
  • Demonstrate the Fair Treatment of Customers principles during all customer contact
  • Undertake ad-hoc tasks as directed by Line Manager

  • Previous experience of working in a frontline Commercial insurance role including
  • broking and placement of Professional Indemnity insurance risks
  • Proven experience of using initiative to resolve customer queries
  • You will need to have experience of winning new business, developing new relationships, pitching to win work.
  • You will need to be self-motivated and be able to work under your own initiative.
  • You will need to contribute to the achievement of the wider team’s targets and objectives, supporting the growth and profitability of the business
  • You will Ensure 3 lines of defence and risk awareness is embedded within the team
  • We will need you to be a confident and articulate communicator both verbally and in writing and have well-developed influencing skills. It is important that and have strong analysis skills and that you can effectively problem solve.
