Prognostic Condition Based Maintenance Project Engineer

We are currently looking to recruit an Prognostic Condition Based Maintenance (CBM) Project Engineer for multiple locations around the globe.
The Prognostic Condition Based Maintenance (CBM) is one of the main technologies used by BT to reduce the maintenance cost and to improve the reliability of BT fleets.
The CBM Project Engineer has, with the full power of the Head of CBM/Smart Train Technologies, the responsibility to deliver the “as-sold” CBM solution during the project execution phase through all phases of the product development cycle in collaboration with the project- and PF PDM. He/she is the highest CBM technical authority within the project, both internally, and to the customer. The CBM Project Engineer is the key communication point for all CBM Engineering topics with full and ultimate responsibility for the performance of the CBM design. He/she functionally leads and connects a team of System engineers and architects, T2G engineers and prognostic engineers within the setting and scope of a specific project to deliver the as-sold QTC (quality, time, cost) of the final solution.
He/she is responsible to apply the key Engineering Processes and the applicable tools for the implementation and ensures that all technical risks and opportunities are properly addressed and mitigated.
The CBM project engineer is fully accountable for the successful testing, homologation and customer acceptance of the on-board and wayside CBM components.
•Ensure that the delivered product as the sum of all sub-functions and subsystems performs as requested to fulfill the customer contractual QTC requirements.
•Ensure fulfillment of safety and performance requirements.
•Implementation of platform concept / re-use.
•Identify the configuration items and the traceable items within the Engineering Scope.
•Establish and maintain the As-Designed Baseline.
•Sign-off of vehicle and wayside system configurations.
•Approve design reviews and manage preparation of engineering elements for the customer reviews.
•Approve all concepts and supplier requirement documents.
•Ensure that updates of product related manuals and instructions are distributed and communicated internally and to agreed parties in the customer’s organization.
•Approve the technical documentation (e.g. concepts, calculations, homologation documents, drawings).
•Integration of physical and functional design and interfaces (Systems, Mechanical, Electrical).
•Participate in the Change Control Board and approve all changes to CBM engineering related requirements and deliverables.
•Ensure that Verification & Validation is properly planned, performed and documented.
•Responsible for requirements management, verification and validation, homologation and customer compliance sign-off.
•Functionally lead and connect a team of System engineers and architects, T2G engineers and prognostic engineers within the setting and scope of a specific project to deliver the as-sold QTC (quality, time, cost) of the final solution.
•Apply the key Engineering Processes and the applicable tools for the implementation and ensures that all technical risks and opportunities are properly addressed and mitigated.
•Master’s/Bachelor’s degree in engineering.
•Minimum 5-10 years of experience postgraduate.
•Minimum 3 years in a customer facing leadership role.
•Strong background in condition-based maintenance and prognostics.
•English fluent, French would be an advantage.
