Working across our client’s Friendly Care Homes in South West London:

- Cecil Court (Kew)
- Homemead (Teddington)

Salary: £17,750 per annum (FTE)

Casual Day & Night Shift Hours are available

Get immediate income - and lend a helping hand
If you need extra income during this difficult time, then why not lend a hand to the most vulnerable people? Our client is seeking suitable staff cover to work at their Care Homes to look after people of 65 and over, some of whom have dementia. It’s a challenging time for care home residents, and if you’re available now/soon then you can get paid to make a big difference!

Our client has a longstanding Bank scheme, providing work on a shift by shift basis to Care Assistants, Domestic staff, and Administrators. They are now growing the scheme to make sure they can fully support their residents in the long term, come what may.

The Offer
Our client’s Care Assistant basic salary is £17,750 per annum for 37 hours, including paid breaks. Shifts last for 12 hours and 20 minutes three days per week, and additional shifts are available. They can be flexible to accommodate other lengths of shift, for example covering their busiest times.

The organisation
Our client is a forward-thinking and innovative charitable provider of housing, care, and bespoke services exclusively for older people in London. They have 90 years’ experience of retirement home design and living in London. They are very proud of the ‘family’ feel of their homes and their innovative strategies for supporting residents.

Your role as a Care Assistant
You will help to deliver a high-quality service to residents at one or more of our client’s care homes in Teddington, Kew and Swiss Cottage. You will support residents with their physical care and personal hygiene needs, ensuring that their independence, privacy and dignity are preserved and developed wherever possible.

About you

You will need:

- Good communication skills
- Basic literacy and numeracy skills
- To be compassionate and patient
- Ideally some experience in a caring industry, for example hospitality or schools
- To pass our DBS check

Even better if you have previous experience of a care environment, providing personal care or knowledge of dementia.

To apply
Please send our client your current CV, applying to either of their two friendly Care Homes that you would like to work at.

Other organisations may call this role Care Home Assistant, Carer, Care Worker, Healthcare Assistant, Residential Care Worker, or Residential Care Assistant.
