A man wants to leave his work on good terms, so is concentrating to get the tone and content of his resignation letter exactly right.

A formal notice letter is very simple and to the point. The main point of this letter is to tell your employer that you will be leaving the company and when your leave date will be.

It is not necessary to explain why you are leaving as it would not be in your contract to do so. If you don't feel like providing any more information or thanks to your employer when resigning that’s completely fine, you can provide just the bare bones of information on your resignation letter.
